Set dancing is a form of social dancing which has been popular in Ireland for over 150 years. Sets are danced by four couples in a square. No previous dancing experience or partner required! Fireworks follow the concert on July 4th

James Taylor Returns to Tanglewood with His All-Star Band on July 3rd and 4th at 8:00 p.m. Enjoy a festive Independence Day at Tanglewood. Fireworks display follows the concert on the 4th. Taylor, who regularly performs to sold-out audiences at Tanglewood, has returned to the festival 27 times since his first performance there in 1974. As in past years, Kim and James Taylor will donate proceeds from the July 4th performance to Tanglewood.

Folk music has been a presence in Newport since 1959, when the Newport Folk Festival was founded by George Wein. The Festival became renowned for introducing a number of performers who went on to become major stars, most notably Joan Baez and Bob Dylan.
