ACCORDING TO TIP - - WIN TIX!
THE LYRIC STAGE
June 9 - July 3, 2011
Veteran commentator and longtime Boston political authority Dick Flavin will bring his insider’s perspective to the role of Thomas P. “Tip” O'Neill in According to Tip, beginning a limited engagement on June 9 at The Lyric Stage. The award-winning play follows the vibrant and historically unforgettable career of Tip O’Neill, who coined the phrase “All Politics is Local,” and served as Speaker of the House of Representatives for ten years, covering the presidencies of Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Filled with history, humor, and even a bit of Irish music, the amazing journey follows Tip from his life growing up in Cambridge where he entered local politics, to the Massachusetts State House, and eventually to the White House. Directed by Richard McElvain.
