The High Kings continue to set the bar extremely high for Irish folk bands across the world and are widely regarded as the standard bearers for the genre. After 14 years at the top of its game, the band is still selling out venues around the world to an ever growing army of loyal fans.

The High Kings are Finbarr Clancy, Darren Holden, Brian Dunphy and Paul O’ Brien - the newest member of the group. The High Kings formed in June 2007 when Finbarr, Darren and Brian, along with former member Martin Furey, were asked to join a brand-new Irish ballad group by David Kavanagh after he had noticed a gap in the market for a band specialising in traditional Irish music.

It didn’t take long during their first studio rehearsal for them to realise that the way their individual voices blended together meant that they were on to something special. All told, The High Kings play a total of 13 instruments, allowing them to create a unique sound and atmosphere that they still showcase to this day.

The arts and culture scene in Nashua is humming. Newly opened just this year, the Nashua Center for the Arts (NCA) is New Hampshire’s newest music venue. Located in the heart of downtown Nashua, the NCA has a modern design and offers an intimate audience experience. Fully seated the capacity is 750 with retractable seating that allows for a standing room floor and an increased capacity of up to 1,000. Additional information here.
