BURREN HOLDS FUNDRAISER FOR KRYSTLE CAMPBELL
Krystle M. Campbell, the 29 year old local woman who was tragically killed at the finish line of the Boston Marathon in April, was known for her “million dollar smile…head-to- toe freckles and gorgeous bright red hair, connecting her Irish roots and kid-like manner,” as her employer wrote in the days after Krystle’s death.
Tommy McCarthy, Irish fiddle player and owner of the Burren Pub remembers Krystle as a regular at his pub in Davis Square, Somerville, where she enjoyed the live music and the camaraderie of the popular watering hole. He dedicated one of his songs, Listen, I Know, to raise funds for the Krystle M. Campbell Foundation, a scholarship that was set up in Krystle’s honor by her family and friends.
On Sunday, June 30 the Burren is also hosting an outdoor fundraiser to benefi t Krystle’s memorial fund from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event features live music from the Johnny Come Latelies and Scattershot.
If you can’t attend, please send your contributions to the Krystle M. Campbell Memorial Fund, 25 Park Street, Medford, MA 02155. You can also donate online at brownpapertickets.com.
