This issue features profiles of Keith Lockhart, maestro of the Boston Pops; Dawn Morrissey, director of Irish Film Festival Boston; Bill McGowan, Sligo Man of the Year; and Bill deWalt, museum director of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate.
Also in the Guide, reviews of new Irish books, details on guided tours of Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail, and a story on Ireland’s 2015 commemoration of Irish poet William Butler Yeats.
BITA was formed in 2000 to promote cultural tourism year round. It publishes three issues of Travel & Culture Guide in March, June and October.
BITA has developed the Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail, which highlights Irish landmarks throughout Boston and around the state.
